Privacy Policy
Short version: the estimate, quote or invoice you fill in never leaves your browser. We count page views and downloads so we know which templates are worth building more of, and we store your email address only if you type it into the waiting-list form yourself.
The document you fill in stays on your device
Every generator on this site runs entirely in your browser. When you press Word, PDF, Excel or Print, the file is assembled on your own machine and saved straight to your downloads folder. Your customer’s name, the job address, your prices and your licence number are never sent to us, because there is nothing on our side to receive them. The only copy other than the file you downloaded is the draft your own browser keeps, described below.
What we do record
Two kinds of event, and this is the whole list of what a stored row contains:
- A page view
- The page path, a timestamp, and whether this browser has been to the site before.
- A download
- The page path, which format you chose (Word, PDF, Google Docs, Excel, CSV or Print), a timestamp, and whether this browser has been to the site before.
We do not store your IP address, your browser’s user agent, your location, or anything you typed into the form. There is no account, no profile, and nothing that identifies you across visits beyond the one flag described below.
What is kept in your browser
Two things live in your browser’s local storage. Neither is a cookie and neither is sent anywhere; clearing your browsing data removes both.
- Your draft, under a key like
wsd:estimate:electrical - As you type, the generator saves what you have entered so that you do not lose the job if you close the tab or your phone locks. This does include the customer name, job address, line items and prices you typed — and it stays on your own device. We never receive it. Pressing Clear form deletes it immediately.
- A returning-visit flag,
wsd:seen - Set the first time you arrive. There is no identifier in it — it only lets a return visit be counted as a return visit, which is how we judge whether these templates are worth coming back to.
If your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, we record nothing at all
— no page view, no download, and we do not write the wsd:seen flag. Your
draft still saves, because that one is for you, not for us.
Your email address, if you give us one
One section of each template page offers to tell you when saving and reusing documents is ready. If you type your email address there and submit it, we store the address, the page you were on, and the date. That is all, and we use it for exactly one thing: to email you when that feature exists.
Email addresses are kept in a separate table from the page-view and download counts, on purpose — so that deleting your address does not require touching anything else. Ask us to delete it and it is a single row, gone. We do not sell, rent, or share the list.
Third parties
There are none embedded in these pages. No advertising network, no analytics product, no social buttons, no hosted fonts, no tag manager. The pages load no scripts, styles, images or fonts from any other domain — you can confirm that in your browser’s network tab.
The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which necessarily processes the network request that
delivers each page, in the way any web host does. The Google Docs button opens
docs.new in a new tab only when you click it; we have no access to your Google
account and nothing is written to your Drive on your behalf.
Children
This is a tool for running a trade business. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect anything from them.
Contact
To have your email address removed, or to ask what we hold, write to support@worksitedocs.com. Since the only personal data we ever hold is an email address you typed in yourself, that request is quick to honour.
